An Open Thread for the End of the World

I don’t really get out to the movies much anymore, but I may have to find a way to change that.

Because I’ve been living under a rock and missed the first redband trailer that was released on Mayan Apocalypse Day, I hadn’t actually heard of This is the End until one of my friends posted the new (NSFW) trailer today. Now I’m crying laughing. Bless them for the Emma Watson cameo.

What movies are you looking forward to this summer? See anything good recently?

I watched the first season and first 4 episodes of season 2 of The Walking Dead this week and I just..I don’t know why I feel compelled to keep watching but I can’t stop. I hate or am apathetic towards almost all of the characters (exceptions: Daryl and Glenn) and I’m sick of the ‘let’s find the little girl’ plotline already. Also things got real boring real quick on that farm they all wandered on to. I’m just not into it. But I can’t stop watching.

Someone explain this to me.

Season 2 got sooooooo soap-opera-y. I actually saw an episode or two while a BF was watching the early seasons on TV, thought they were stupid, and didn’t watch them again until a friend convinced me it was just stupid issues with season 2 and that I need to start from the beginning.

I’m same though, there was a while that I didn’t *really* like it, but kept watching it. It does get better. Season 3 has been pretty good, in my opinion at least.
