This Open Thread is Clueless

I don’t think I can take anything too serious after last week.

Which is why I’m watching Clueless. This is really the best movie. Ever.

So, tell me what you’re watching. And don’t you dare tell me Clueless isn’t as lovely as I know it to be.

I’m almost halfway through Hemlock Grove (the newest just-for-Netflix series), and it’s okay. I love some of the actors, the dude playing werewolf kid has pretty eyes, and there’s enough creepiness to be fun. I’m still trying to figure out if “upir” is meant to be a variation of “vampire” (I’m kind of hoping they don’t do the vampire thing, since it has been very overdone).

I’m at episode 9 and just really meh about the whole thing. Its just meh. It can’t decide it if really wants to be campy or tongue in cheek, the dialog is just embarrassing at points, and there is a serious WTF moment in either episode 7 or 8 that really, really made me think the writers or directors are completely tone deaf. There’s some clever moments — I mean, they’ve got a female Frankenstein’s monster named Shelly and the werewolf is Peter (and the wolf, get it? GET IT?) but the rest of it.. They barely pay attention to the main plot and..

Sorry. I’m just super disappointed. I wanted to like it so much.
