Trial and Error

Every week, when I write about a gardening technique, I see comments in which people say, “I’m going to try this!” And my heart swells 10 sizes, Grinch style.

But this week, I’m all about asking if you HAVE tried those techniques yet. If so, were you successful? Is there anything you’d do differently? Are there any gardening techniques or styles you’d like to learn more about?

Let me know in the comments!

This late in the year I’d hazard that the seeds wont be far along enough to get much fruit on the vine. A few starts from a garden supply store (I got a three pack of hearty little tomato starts for 89 cents at my local Hy-Vee) would go a long way towards your garden!

I’m still failing at pruning basil properly. Right now my mom has my plants so I don’t kill with neglect while I study. Eventually I’ll get the hang of it. But it is growing well in pots for me, which is all I really care about. :)
