LTP: Museum Memories!

This week, the Metropolitan Museum of Art stopped using their famous metal admissions tags, much to the disappointment of many museum goers. Luckily, I have a drawerful of these iconic pieces of New York City history, so I will be on eBay, capitalizing on nostalgia at some point in the future.

Let’s take this time to reflect on our favorite museum memories or trips! I’ve been to many museums around the world and I love them, faults (i.e. problematic nature of museums)¬†and all. Growing up in the New York Metro area, I’ve spent entirely too much time in museums and monuments (Met, MoMA, Morgan Library, Ellis Island, New York Hall of Science, African Burial Ground National Monument, etc.), and I think the Museum of Natural History is the best museum ever, for many reasons, including the absolutely unintentionally hilarious New York history exhibit in the basement. It hasn’t been updated in decades and it’s great.

What about you all? Favorite museum trips? Hilarious museum memories? Did anyone pull a Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler?
