Recently I watched all of Top of the Lake (from 1-3 a.m., slept, went to work, came home and finished the last five episodes before bed), which Selena reviewed a few months ago. I have also finished the entirety of Peep Show, That Mitchell and Webb Look, Black Books and Luther, all in a matter of days. This doesn’t count my weeks with Twin Peaks, or Veronica Mars, or even my year of Buffy and Angel, or my frequent rewatches of Archer.
Clearly, I have made excellent use of my Netflix account in past years.
What about you? Has your Hulu Plus/Amazon Prime/Netflix/DVR helped you through a surprisingly great marathon? Did you ever get so far through a TV series, you didn’t even realize it was happening? Is the Netflix autoplay a curse and a blessing? Discuss.

I do not have this thing called the Netflix. But I have been known to marathon GoT, The West Wing, Big Love and Modern Family more than is perhaps healthy.
I also marathoned Once Upon A Time but I spent the whole time hating it as well, so that one’s a mystery.
I marathoned Eureka through autoplay for so many episodes that Netflix kept asking me if I was still alive, basically.
I love and hate the Netflix autoplay. When I only plan to watch an episode or two, and then I’m all…oh, just one more! Netflix is such an enabler. Other than that, I’ve been watching a lot of GoT. (But I’m not caught up, so no spoilers, please!)
Party Down is the perfect marathon show.
I also watched Supernatural within a 3-4 week span but I illegally downloaded while living overseas.
I was in the middle of Luther season 1 on Netflix, but my computer hard drive crashed and I introduced my mother to Netflix so she’s marathoning West Wing on the iPad so that’s on hold atm
I watched seasons 1-7 of Supernatural in a three week span. That was a thing that happened. I also rewatch Star Trek TOS periodically.
The first season of The Walking Dead. In, like, two days. At the conclusion of which I called my husband and told him not to come home without large pieces of plywood. To which he responded, “I take the bus.”
On a side note, how does one do italics?
< i > like this! < /i > without the spaces.
Thanks!
Apparently my e-mail is sneakier/smarter than the internetz-in my e-mail, “like this!” showed up italicized :)
