This Weekend Open Thread is Knitting a Lot

Just wait until it’s cold enough to wear what I’m making.

I was afraid when I lost my job at a craft store that the act of knitting would make me mad. True, I still want to throw things when I look at yarn or patterns from my former place of employment; fortunately, the craft itself isn’t ruined. Since it’s too hot here in New York to actually go outside and do anything, I’ve been doing plenty of knitting as I sit in front of my window air conditioner.

What are you up to this weekend?

I’m sitting in a hostel lounge and there was a girl knitting a few chairs away who’s now departed, but DAYUM it made me want to knit. Which I can do tomorrow, because we’ll finally get home after this goddamn 15 day road trip comes to a close. I miss my bed. I miss my cats.

I work all weekend, but that’s alright because I’ve had a good three days off. Yesterday I went to see my good friend that had her baby a month ago. We had so much fun and her baby managed to give me the feels. Not a lot of feels, mind you, but enough to scare the crap out of me because no kid has ever made me want to have my own before.

It was weird.
