Lunchtime Poll

Lunchtime Poll: It’s Halloween!

Greetings, unicorns. It’s All Hallow’s Eve and Samhain. I hope you have your blanket ready to keep you warm while you look for the Great Pumpkin tonight.

As a kid, I loved trick-or-treating because of the candy and cool costumes. There was a dentist by my house who, shockingly, actually gave out candy. It was sugar free, but at least it was candy. I lived in a decent neighborhood, so people weren’t stingy with the candy. What’s more, it wasn’t crazy packed liked some neighborhoods. Today, I had a customer buy almost 200 dollars worth of candy. Apparently her neighborhood gets hit hard.

What was your favorite candy as a child? I adored Butterfinger candy bars. I loved getting a Butterfinger in my treat bag! I hated getting gum.

Do you have any cool costumes from when you were a kid? Mine weren’t great, but I did get to dress up.

I want to hear all the good stories. Plus leave me some Butterfingers.

Whatchamacallits! (really) And Kit Kats…. I’ve purchased neither for today….. but the mixed bag I *did* buy has Twix….. which is just as dangerous… how does one counteract a sugar headache? (and DO NOT say burpees)

Costume…. I was Wonder Woman several years in a row… remember when purchased costumes were basically printed plastic bags?

Blessed Samhain!

Reese’s and Butterfingers. Those were the BEST. I went as Jasmine from Aladdin one year, but my mom was bad at sewing, and my costume literally fell apart while walking, leaving me in tights and a leotard. So then I was a jazzerciser. Apparently.

Trick or Treat was moved until tomorrow here because of the wind and storms we’re supposed to get. Puppy will not be happy about the doorbell regardless.
