This Weekend Open Thread Never Really Believed Andy Kaufman Was Still Alive

But it would have been a helluva prank to pull off, wouldn’t it?

If you’ve spent time on the Internet this week, no doubt you heard the story of the woman who claimed to be late comedian Andy Kaufman’s daughter, born five years after his death.

Yeah, so, that’s most likely not true. Kaufman’s brother Michael told Jake Tapper that he believes he’s the victim of a hoax. Or, as other sources claim, maybe he was in on it. Who knows. The point is, as awesome a dupe as it would have been for Andy to pull off a nearly 30-year-long fake death stunt, he isn’t hiding out anywhere as a family man. The “daughter” is an actress.

But hey, it’s an excuse to include this song in my open thread:

I had a me-day, and even bought jeans! On sale! (Sale jeans never happen in a 14 long. NEVER.) They are super cute. And Daisy met another dog and didn’t go into “bite faces” mode. And I have diet coke and bright orange toenails and I’ll have fresh sheets to sleep on.. Life is good.
