So I got the brilliant idea to make really fancy sugar cookies for the holidays this year. I’m pretty handy with Photoshop, I thought some of my art skill might transfer to icing.
It did not.

So tonight I’m mixing up another mixerful of royal icing. I will master this. What are you doing tonight, readers?

My sister is having a baby. It’s my first niece or nephew (my sister thinks it’s a girl) and the first grandbaby on both sides. I’ve never been one to squee over baby stuff at ALL, but mom and I went into Pottery Barn Kids today and I wanted to buy all the things. Shit’s expensive though. Now I’m trying to find cute things online. Also, since we don’t know if it’s a boy or girl, finding gender neutral baby clothes is HARD!
Nawwwwwwwww babies!!! Most baby stuff really is unnecessary though (which sucks a bit, because baby things are also cute). What I wanted more than anything after I had my babies was food. Any food. Just chewable things with calories. ;)
I will laugh about this, because if I don’t, all that’s left is crying about my toothache.
Do you have an cloves? Clove oil is a natural anesthetic, and it tastes good. A little burny, but still pleasant. Bite down on a whole clove near your bunk tooth. Then keep it in your mouth and suck on it.
Suddenly, this sounds dirty.
I have shitty teeth, and clove oil is better than even whiskey for killing the pain. Clove oil AND whiskey is probably ideal, though.
So far, I have tried vodka, which didn’t work. I also went ahead and made a *cue horror music* dentist appointment for next week. I’ll go and find cloves now…
