The third Monday of January is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in the United States. This year it was yesterday, January 20th. Typically this is a time to volunteer and participate in projects to help the community.
Some of us can volunteer long-term. Some of us can volunteer for just a day. We can plant, build, tutor, comfort, and more. Even small acts can make a big difference. I don’t give back as much as I should. I bet that’s an excuse a lot of people have. But MLK Day is a reminder that there’s good to be done.
Did you volunteer on MLK Day? Have you volunteered in the past?

Right now I’m only volunteering in my branch but I’m looking to go help at pounds, libraries and – if I will be allowed – Planned Parenthood.
I’ve done some volunteering while living overseas, but sadly, not much since I’ve been back. I am planning to go to the Planned Parenthood volunteer orientation meeting this week though. I’m interested in becoming a clinic escort
