What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? Pretty sure I’m just going to be trying to keep warm and hoping the power doesn’t go out. Maybe taking the kiddo to her swim class if the roads are clear. Eating chocolate. Fun times!

Power stayed on! We went out and played in the snow this morning; at one point Lexie got stuck because she was sinking up to her butt, so I had to rescue her… and the snow was up to mid-thigh on me. Then I cleared off the deck because it the snow was so fucking heavy and starting to melt (which meant that overnight it’d turn to sold ice). Made it out to swim class, and she did much better than last week. Lexie’s been in level 3 for her age group for ages, but she has a new teacher this session who apparently teaches much more advanced stuff than the rest of them, so she almost got demoted last week, but she managed to keep up. Now I just need the ziti in the oven to finish heating up because I’m so hungry!
I work tonight and I had every intention to bring cookies for my coworkers, but then I made them and they were too good to share. :D They’re Nutella Linzer cookies and they may be the best cookies I’ve ever made.
Sorry coworkers. I’m greedy.
My mom always gets me a card and she included a sticky saying she owes me one pedicure. Other than that, wine and Thin Mints tonight.
We had lunch at a nice lunch place and afterwards super healthy juice at the juice place. He gave me a magazine and a cup cake, I him a card and peppermint. We walked through Amsterdam hand in hand and took great joy from doing groceries.
I got flowers at work! The card in the box was in Vietnamese! Somebody is really pissed at their SO today!!
In other news, I’m going to the classic film festival in town, where they’re showing my favorite movie of all time: Casablanca. So my date is pretty much Humphrey Bogart, right?
