This Open Thread Has Seen The Light

After the wettest winter month in 250 years, February hasn’t started too badly here in the UK, with the most glorious sunshine just in time for a Sunday morning walk. Sun! Glorious sun! How I’ve missed you!

That means, of course, that as soon as it starts raining again (like, just now), I’ll be in a bad mood. I’ve had a taste, and I want more. Neighbourly chats in the street, kids playing outside, gardening… the list is endless.

What can you not wait to do once the sun comes out? Talk to me in the comments below!

I just want it to warm up. We actually got up into the mid-upper 40s this weekend and I didn’t even have to put a coat on to go out, just my fleece-lined flannel (and I didn’t even need to button it and was overly warm). But then it snowed all day today and school was closed, and we have another storm coming tomorrow night into Wednesday, which will probably close school again. It’ll be nice to not have to plan grocery shopping and such around when the roads will be clear and to be able to do stuff outside again. Kiddo wanted to go to the playground this weekend, but it was muddy from the last round of snow melting off and still not quite warm enough to stay out for an extended period.
