What have you been reading?
Currently, I’m reading B.J. Novak’s One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories and I absolutely love it. I recently finished the novel Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan, which took me a while to get through only because of my demanding study schedule for school. It’s been a breath of fresh air to read Novak’s book though, because it’s been been easier to get through short stories given my current ability to get through a book with school.
What are you reading, Persephoneers?! Let us know!

I just started THE EMPATHY EXAMS by Leslie Jamison. The title essay, I read in a recent issue of The Believer, and it was outstanding. Convinced the book club I’m in to read it along with me, and we meet mid-May.
I just read a Slate article about this book! Let me know how it is, I’m interested in picking it up as well.
Hopefully I’ll get my act together and properly review the thing!
I’ve been waiting and waiting for my pre-order of Pretty Deadly, the first graphic novel I’ve ever bought. At last I gave in and got the kindle version to tide me over until the physical copy arrives in May. I’ll be lucky if I get anything done this morning.
Also, because this is how I roll, I am also reading Great Expectations for the billionth time, as well as James Herriot’s collected books, and I have to pick up my book club book today some time and get reading: The Imposter Bride by Nancy Richler.
I haven’t read any graphic novels as of yet, so I’d be interested to know how Pretty Deadly is! I know I could always do a search…but if you have any recommendations that would be great!
Anaïs Nin’s Little Birds. From time to time I’m suitably
arousedimpressed.Nice! And sexy. I think.
