My apartment is super clean. Woot.
I bought a Groupon for a three-hour house cleaning, and it happened yesterday.
It’s possibly the best purchase decision I’ve made in a while, and I’ve been excited about it for days.
Does this make me an adult?

There’s part of me that would like to hire a cleaner (this is assuming we’d have the money, ha), but I know I would clean the house before the cleaner came because deargoodness I couldn’t let someone come in and see a mucky house… We’re doing a good deal of unfucking here, however and it’s sort of going well but I’m struggling with the “getting rid of things” part. The cleaning part is easyish, the tidying/sorting not so much.
I hate getting rid of my things. Cause they’re mine, dammit! I’ve found that it’s easier for me to give things to specific people that I know could use the item rather than toss or donate it. It’s a slower process though, and doesn’t help much with things that really should be junked.
Also, I would totally clean up before a cleaning person, too. But I figure that I’d have to de-clutter before I cleaned anyway and at least I wouldn’t have to vacuum or mop. It’s also a forcing function-must clean for cleaning person!
I watched Snowpiercer this afternoon. Very impressive, and terrifying.
