Persephone Postcards: Leiden, The Netherlands

A botanical garden, a.k.a. Hortus Botanicus, is always on my to-go list for holidays. Postcard made by Freckle

The Hortus Botanicus of Leiden, founded in 1590, making it the oldest botanical garden of the Netherlands. It has a large collection of plants native to South-east and East Asia, Southern Europe and South Africa. People study here, meet up here, get their wedding pictures here.

Freckle can't decide between writing fact or fiction, so she does both, on a very regular basis, and sometimes even for money.
