Useful Pictures for Facebook Comments that Annoy You

[Original publication date: July 16, 2013]

I absolutely love that Facebook has finally enabled picture comments. While gifs don’t actually work (yet??), there are still plenty of fun ways to respond to the tomfoolery on your feed when words fail you entirely. Are these necessarily the most mature responses? Nah, but sometimes maturity is overrated.

Sometimes, it’s just all too much to take in.

Cartoon still of Batman looking inside an empty box, captioned "Nope, can't find a single fuck."

Pie chart titled "What I Can't" which is fully filled in blue, which stands for "Even"

Dialog bar that says "Loading, Please Wait. Attempting to give a fuck..." with progress filled in at 0%

Especially galling right now (OK, most of the time) are the people who are trying to claim that racism doesn’t exist, or that “racism” against white people is the real problem. You should probably just unfriend those fuckers, but you might as well go out in a blaze of glory.

Still of Haley Joel Osment from The Sixth Sense, captioned "I see stupid white people."

Still from The Cosby show of Denise (Lisa Bonet) saying "Nobody cares about your white feelings."

When telling people to go to hell, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Someecard that says "I hide behind sarcasm because telling you to go fuck yourself is considered rude in most social situations."

Still from Psych of Gus (Dule Hill) giving epic side-eye, captioned "Do I need to slap you in the face?"

Someecard that reads "If I had a nickel for every time I heard you say something stupid, I'd have a sock full of nickels to beat you with."
I’d suspect PoM of making this, but she knows how to spell “nickel.”

Still from Futurama of Bender painted gold, captioned "Bite my glorious golden ass!"

Even ad hominem attacks and name calling are more fun with pictures!

Someecard that says "Shall I compare thee to a summer's eve? For thou art a douche."

Of course, sometimes other people will get in a really good line before you. Feel free to congratulate them!

Medical diagram of someone wrapping a hand in a bandage, captioned "Cover the burn with a sterile bandage."

Cross-stitched version of a flowchart. "Did someone get told?" If no, "Tell them." If yes, "OH SNAP!"

Hillary is a giant nerd and former Mathlete. She once read large swaths of "Why Evolution is True" and a geology book aloud to her infant daughter, in the hopes of a) instilling a love of science in her from a very young age and b) boring her to sleep. After escaping the wilds of Waco, Texas and spending the next decade in NYC, she currently lives in upstate New York, where she misses being able to get decent pizza and Chinese takeout delivered to her house. She lost on Jeopardy.
