There was a bit of a controversy this year because Mayang Praesto was left off the list since (technically) her death did not result from her being trans. TDOR states that their policy is to not include deaths due to domestic violence. However, lots of trans people want her included because her death was so violent. I am one of those people. I will say a meditation in honor of her today, and I hope you will join me.
