Vintage Valentines for My Galentines

Of all the gifts given to us by Leslie Knope, the holiday known as Galentine’s Day might be the greatest. On February 13th, Leslie encourages us to celebrate the important female relationships in our lives. And you, my dear Persephoneers, whatever gender you may identify with (or not), are among my most important relationships. In the four-plus years we have been together, we have shared laughter, tears, rage, and plenty of LMN with white wine and Twizzlers. I appreciate seeing you in the comments, reading your posts, and hanging out with you on Facebook.

Galentines-Day

The editorial team here is among the best I’ve ever had the honor of working with. They spend hours every week making this site comes together and runs smoothly, have never received a dime of pay, shaken off invasions from Reddit and other trolls, and are constantly active behind the scenes — all because they believe in P-Mag, and they believe in our readers and contributors.  Here’s to Selena, PoM, Hillary, Liza, QSarah, Coco, Sally J, Sally L, and Kelsea. May their Galentine’s Day be everything that they deserve and more.

I like you and I love you, Persephone. Don’t ever change.

As a special gift to you, please accept this curation of vintage anti-suffragette Valentine’s Day cards. Remember, ladies, we sure stuck it to them by getting the right to vote.
