Sometimes, all you need is to remember how hilarious old videos are. Sometimes, all you need is a cool performance by some rad rocker chicks. Sometimes, you just need to sit down and turn your brain off and let YouTube tell you what to do.
I open this week with a two-fer. Miley Cyrus started a really awesome foundation which helps support LGBT youth, the Happy Hippie Foundation, and has used the launch of it to showcase some incredible performances.
I mean Miley, Joan Jett, and Laura Jane Grace just slay it. Joan Jett is still fucking hot. Laura, of course, we all know how I feel about her. Miley is quickly becoming one of my favorite people.
I thought it was pretty fantastic watching Laura and Miley duet on this song. Miley has recently come out saying that she neither feels masculine or feminine. She hasn’t labeled it yet, but obviously that is some sort of gender variance there.
Now, I am about to take you back to the early days of YouTube videos. In fact, this might have first debuted on something other than YouTube. I think what always stuck with me is how hilarious these I believe 15- or 16-year-olds at the time are. It does help they came from Montana. Bask in the glory of “My Hands are Bananas”
Nothing is better than Kanye West videos. Watching him react to David Blaine cracks me up every time. Bonus points for Woody Harrelson laughing maniacally in the background.
Baseball season is upon us, which means the return of my favorite game, Rub Adrian Beltre’s head. Elvis Andrus is the master of this game. Adrian doesn’t like having his head touched and this has just made Elvis want to touch it at every turn.
Finally, a commercial. I can’t help but love this. It stars a babyfaced Paul Rudd!
