Recipe Roundup: A Little Bit Nutty

This roundup has been gently aware that peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are something of an American favourite and so comes the inspiration for this week’s roundup: peanut butter. Peanuts aren’t technically nuts, but really, since when did science come before deliciousness?

This roundup is starting with a recipe by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall from The Guardian. These honey and peanut butter booster bars are the bee’s knees. This roundup has made them on many an occasion before and found they get eaten up very quickly. These booster bars are a perfect way to balance healthy and indulgent.

Looking for a more delicate recipe? One that speaks more of high tea than missed tea? Then Delia’s Peanut Butter Biscuits are a beautiful way of sneaking more scrumptious peanut flavour into a delightful treat.

Sometimes high tea is out of one’s reach, and like this roundup, one finds oneself in need of an easy nutritious snack. So from Sally’s Baking Addiction comes the fabulous Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie. Not only is this smoothie allowing for daily chocolate needs, it’s a great source of protein, too!

This roundup is always on the hunt for healthy snacks and this one from Super Healthy Kids looks like a great one, especially as the temperature starts to climb. These Frozen Peanut Butter Berry Pops may not seem like the simplest recipe, but they make up plenty of pops to keep the kids (and adults!) happy and cool.

Never fear, this roundup wasn’t going to end without mentioning booze. So from Daydreamer Desserts is the epic Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Martini. Not only does this boozy serving offer up peanut butter, it has chocolate and vodka, too. What more could you want?

Until next time, Persephoneers!
