Here’s where I admit that I’ve never really listened to podcasts. But now I need something to keep me awake while doing some tedious data entry at work, and I need a break from listening to the same Pandora stations and Spotify playlists over and over.
What are some good geeky/nerdy things to listen to? I’ve been working through recent episodes of StarTalk Radio, because Neil deGrasse Tyson, but of course someone came in my office just as I was crying laughing at his answer to a listener question about Superman’s farts. (Immature, but damn was it funny.)

“My History Can Beat Up Your Politics” is awesome.
Of course, “Freakonomics.”
“Mystery Show” and “Invisibilia” are great.
If you like true crime at all, “Criminal” and “Sword and Scale” are fascinating.
I forgot to mention my favorite movie review/discussion podcast, F This Movie! (because sometimes you’re like, “F this movie” and sometimes you’re like, “F! This movie!”).
I’ve been very in to Fat man on Batman. It’s Kevin Smith talking about comics and movies and such.
I like “Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me” from NPR.
Call Your Girlfriend is excellent. Two long distance besties have twice monthly phone calls about all kinds of things, including menstruation and ladies in the news.
