Lunchtime Poll: Favorite Summer Activities

How do you like to spend your summer weekends?

Are you all about the outdoor activities like swimming, fairs, and getting close to nature? Or are you more likely to be huddling near an air conditioner at home or the movie theater?

She once read large swaths of "Why Evolution is True" and a geology book aloud to her infant daughter, in the hopes of a) instilling a love of science in her from a very young age and b) boring her to sleep. After escaping the wilds of Waco, Texas and spending the next decade in NYC, she currently lives in upstate New York, where she misses being able to get decent pizza and Chinese takeout delivered to her house. Love hiking in the summer. I’ve even got the boyfriend to admit it’s fun if you go interesting places. We did Clifty Falls in Southern Indiana over the Fourth of July. Dog was not happy that we made her swim upriver for 2.5 miles or climb a 300 foot forest lookout tower, but otherwise a good time was had by all. And the falls themselves were gorgeous! If you’re in Indiana/Kentucky/southwest Ohio, you should definitely make the trip between May and July!
