I can’t believe that August is almost over. Where did the summer go? Were my parents right when they said how much faster time passes when you’re an adult? First Brussels sprouts, and now time, what next?
The local kids are going back to school, pumpkin spiced everything is available, and everywhere smells like cinnamon and nutmeg. But that means that snow, ice, parkas, and Christmas decor is right around the corner. Since I’m in retail, those thoughts make me want to cry!
So Persephoneers, are you anxiously awaiting the arrival of autumn, or are you still holding on to summer? And for our southern hemisphere folks, spring is on its way!

Excited about Autumn starting, but that’s mostly for fashion reasons rather than decor. Sweater coats, turtlenecks, long skirts, faux fur; it’s a modest woman’s dream season.
I definitely love the smells of autumnal spices and fallen leaves. I have a whole box of mulling spice sachets, and apple & pumpkin farms are common in this region. Oh! Also corn! Inexpensive corn! Vote Corn 2016!
Once again, I’ve accomplished hardly anything on my Things I Would Like To Accomplish This Summer List. But it’s an overly ambitious list anyway. I am going to miss my feet not being cold, though :(
