I’m a Portland Timbers soccer fan and there are a couple of kilt wearing men that frequent the games. You won’t see me complaining :)

Hey guys! I just went vegan a week ago. Wondering if anyone has recipes, Portland metro area restaurants and blogs they like and/or other tips for me! Thanks!

I also work at a company who has buildings on campus that are LEED certified and “green”. While they have made steps that other companies haven’t, like compostable take home containers in the cafeteria, there are […]

Well, everything is fixed now and all of our grades were finally posted. The only explanation we received is that an emergency came up, which could definitely be true so I should stop being a jerk about it! SO frustrating though.

I just watched “Game Change” the other day. It was really interesting and maddening at the same time. I highly recommend checking it out. I know the movie may not be totally true although NPR says it is fair and balanced and I really do trust NPR. Anyways, Julianne Moore had a great quote about the movie that I can’t find now but basically she…[Read more]

Ugh, all things having to do with cars and driving really just pisses me off. For example, the dude with the truck who decided to drive on the highway last night in the rain with no tail lights! Really fucking safe.

Angry Persephoneers' Steam Room 9 years ago
So my professor for an online class recently just gave our whole class I’s for incomplete as our final grades. This is because she didn’t finished grading our final in time (this is what we are all guessing because she has not yet contacted us about anything). So, basically people who have school visas, or who are graduating or who are…[Read more]

I just started “The Sisters Brothers” by Patrick deWitt, a local author here in Portland. It is a western about 2 hitmen during the Gold Rush. I like it although I don’t love it. I wanted to love it, but I just don’t really see the hype over it. I’m about halfway through so maybe I’m just missing something!

Yes I did listen to it, it was a great interview. It was interesting to learn that Glenn is his son and his whole take on Glenn in general. I still find him to be a creepy kid, but interesting to hear Weiner’s take!

Have you listened to the Fresh Air episode about the new season of Mad Men yet? – http://www.npr.org/2012/03/26/149161109/mad-men-creator-on-whats-next-for-don-draper
Terry Gross ask the questions viewers want to know, and more importantly, challenges Weiner’s vision of his own show. Her interviews concerning television dramas are always fascinating.-

I’m sorry :( I used to live with my grandma who would get them all the time and I can’t imagine the pain and awfulness that ensues when having one. Do you know why your neck muscle seized up in the first place?

I’ve actually never seen her show as I am too cheap to pay for fancy channels like MSNBC. After hearing some clips from it, however, it seems like she is fair and respectful so I may have to look and see if I can […]

All  I have to say is…. I LOVE this blog. Also, my coffee table to always a struggle. Sometimes I feel like I should just get rid of it, but then where would I put all my junk mail and empty cups?!

Glad I’m not alone. I used to read all the time but the last couple of semesters have been so tough that I’ve had no desire. Luckily my work allows me to listen to my Ipod so I’ve gotten a few audio books in.
