Rice nog! A few of my local grocery stores have milk-free holiday flavors on two-for-one sales this time of year. Plus, rice nog makes amazing french toast.
And oatmeal. Can’t go wrong with a bowl of oatmeal in […]

My state has been RTW longer than I’ve been alive. Not only are all of these things true, in an RTW state, employers can fire without warning and without giving a reason. Which means people are often fired due to […]

Thirded, water is fantastic. A walk or bike ride on the elm tree lined paths following a river near my home works wonders. If I can get enough people on board, a drive through Lakes Country is great, maybe with a […]

Starting to think I’m the only person on Earth who likes tonic. Seriously, I drink it from the bottle.

I’m not much of a shopper either. One thing that can help is making friends with the employees. Frequent the same place & they’ll start pointing out things you’d like & talk with you while you shop, which makes […]

Mr. Marginally goes for the “girly” drinks too, as long as he can’t taste the booze. I can understand people teasing the two of us about gendered drinks, seeing as he looks shady, but has been known to order an […]

Up here it tends to be that way between persons from India (because a lot of my statesmen still call First Nations people ‘Indians’) and Latinos/as. Most of the people from India come here to study engineering and […]

You know your music obsession has gotten out of hand when you consider getting faster internet just to keep Spotify from stopping to buffer during every song.

Winter tends to be the worst for me. It’s very sunny, and snow is surprisingly reflective.
Now I have the urge to make a tiny suit for sunscreen bottles.

I’ve gotten so lazy about make-up. Mostly because I’ve found exactly one foundation that isn’t too dark for my pale and freckled face, which has now been discontinued. *grumble*
In school, though, I wore this […]

I’ve always got a notebook with me when I go walking. Physical activity really gets my mind working. But there are some things you shouldn’t write on; tables at cafes/bars/delis/whatever, for example. Not that I […]

To reply to you and @nicocoer, which I’ve needed to do, I talked to her last week after group therapy and she said “that’s not exactly what I said, but go on”. That was kind of gross, but we continued talking and I felt better after that, though I’ve been pretty effing depressed (as usual) over the last couple weeks and I didn’t go to group…[Read more]

B/c I’m not working (can’t work) and have no insurance or money, I’m at the mercy of the county, who placed me at this clinic. I have called them about an alternative, but there is a two-month wait until June when their fiscal year starts and state funds renew, so my plan is to call back then and get placed somewhere else. One cannot be receiving…[Read more]

D: That’s sad. I’m on medical assistance, but I refuse outright to go to county because of the poor quality. fortunately, County isn’t the only choice for me. wish you didn’t have to go through yours.

You know, I always thought universities had regulations against homework over spring break. Then three of my professors assigned break work.
Sitcoms gave me unrealistic expectations about college.

Purple (Stone Temple Pilots), Garbage (Garbage), and Tidal (Fiona Apple) are tied for that title. Now, if only those three albums could be smashed together.

Mine is a Gaiam mat I bought on sale at Target. It’s been my only mat for six years, and it looks exactly the way it did the day I bought it. Similar to this one: http://www.gaiam.com/product/dragonfly+hydrangea+yoga+mat.do
P.S. That site has a nifty mat selector, too, if you need it.
