Here it is, my 30th post on working out with Jillian Michaels on the 30 Day Shred DVD. I MADE IT!!
It’s Day 29! It’s Day 29! I am really going to make it to tomorrow!
Is it Friday yet? Allergies are kicking my butt this week, but I’m making it through each day’s workout.
I got out of bed and shredded again. It’s getting to feel a bit like Groundhog Day around here, except that I find myself really liking level 3, so I don’t mind.
Phew. I don’t remember how long I shredded for when I first did it back in 2009, but I know it wasn’t for 25 days. I have hit a new personal record for the number of workouts in a given period, that’s for sure.

One thing I noticed this week was that while bumping up to level 3 was a shock, the soreness didn’t last as long as it did when I was first starting out. My legs hurt fiercely yesterday, but today they felt OK. Also?
Day 22 is in the bag, but holy cow, there was some soreness like I experienced way back on days 3 and 4. My legs felt like they were on fire this morning, I have never been more aware of quadriceps before in my life.
I made it! No, I’m not done with the 30 Day Shred, but I’ve made it to level 3! How are your workouts coming along? It’s been a full month now since I’ve started documenting this (30 business days = 6 weeks), and I have say, I’m feeling strong.
I approached today’s workout with gusto, if for no other reason than it’s the last time I have to do level 2 for a while. I am feeling more coordinated about the moves on level 2, and have made friends with all of the strength moves, save the “walking push-up.” Not bad.
I’m still not liking the planks, and the scale hasn’t moved, but my clothes are fitting better. And now comes the dilemma when your body is changing…
Only two more days at level 2! I have to say that I am really hoping that I am better at the exercises that are coming up in level 3. It’s been eight days, and while I’m getting better at the plank position, it still bugs me.
Are you still hanging with me and Jillian? Has near-daily exercise become a habit?
No, I don’t think I’m going jeans shopping just yet. BUT, I did get a compliment from someone last week that I was toning up (it sounds weird, but it was in context and complimentary, I swear).
Here we are, with now THREE weeks under our belts! Are you feeling absolutely shredded?
