Greetings, everyone. Before you get into your (hopefully lovely) weekend, why don’t we catch up on some of the news from the past week? We’ve got politics, LGBTQ+ news, and SCIENCE! We also have a shedload of funny tweets. Let’s get started:
Let me bring you this week’s news of note through the haze of smoke enveloping my lungs.
This week, this beginning of Pride month, these past few days… I wish I could say I am heartened by the ongoing discussion of human rights and LGBTQ issues, but I’m tired. I’m tired and I’m disheartened, and there is so much more work to be done. Let’s just get to the news and end […]
Friday, Friday, once again. Let’s catch up with some of the news stories that caught my eye over the last week.
The Superbowl has come and gone, but the hilarity of Key & Peele’s Richard Sherman & Marshawn Lynch interview sketch lives on forever.
2014 is finally over and done with, and we’re hoping that 2015 is better to the people of color in America.
Maybe people are too busy preparing for the holidays to devote as much time as usual to being misogynistic pricks, because the news wasn’t nearly as bad this week as it usually is. It’s a Festivus miracle! (As usual, trigger warnings for pretty much everything apply.)
Can we all go move to an island somewhere or something? Because the next two years with Republicans running the House and Senate are NOT looking fun. And it was a week of shitstorms and terrible people and all kinds of other assorted fuckery. Fun times! (As usual, trigger warnings for pretty much everything apply.)
Despite my silly headline, we do have some serious stories to cover this week. Let’s get to those first, and you shall be rewarded with some amusing stories to see you into the weekend.
We’re on an LGBTQ bent again with this week’s newsy roundups, along with news about the Malaysian Air flight that was shot down and some recent obituaries. Let’s get to it.
About all I can say about this week is that it wasn’t quite as awful as last week. The French Open seems to be bringing out the worst in people, politicians continue to be idiots, and dress codes continue to be absurd. But at least we’re getting some cool LEGOs! (As usual, trigger warnings for pretty […]
Happy Friday, friends. We have a grab-bag of politicians making some … questionable decisions, LEGO being awesome, and the Amazon Overlords being rather Overlord-y. Let’s get started.
We’ve got a mixed bag this week of (mostly) good news on the LGBT front, and some sad/disappointing news in the entertainment world. Plus, the usual oddball links that strike my fancy. Let’s get to it.
Oh, misogyny. It never stops, does it? This week we’re catching up on three weeks worth of awful, so brace yourselves. Plus, you get to find out why I’m not friends with very many people from high school! (Yes, it’s disgustingly relevant and you probably already saw the story.) As usual, trigger warnings for pretty […]
Sisters and brothers, cats and kittens, hello!
