Happy Friday, everyone. Once again, our news roundup for this week is a mixed bag of good, bad, and varying degrees of amusing. And if you remember my story from last week about those skin-bound books at Harvard, I’ve got a relieving update. Let’s get to it, yes?
The aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan continues to be a clusterfuck. The Philippines have 7000 islands, and getting aid to hard hit areas has been a logistical nightmare. The U.S. carrier group USS George Washington just arrived in the Philippines, bringing food and helping to provide logistical support.
