Weekly Anime Review

Still no Yamato 2199 this week. *sad face* On top of this, Majestic Prince had its last episode and it ended with a big crunch and an opening for a second season. Shingeki is coming close to its ending as well, but there is one more episode to go. The fall season starts in two […]

Weekly Anime Review

There was no Spaceship Yamato this week, but this show is a bit special because the TV airing happened after the DVD and theatrical release. The DVD has been postponed and I couldn’t find a subbed version for this week. Besides this, the Majestic Princes are encountering major opposition in their own show. While in […]

Weekly Anime Review

It’s a double feature this week. We are getting close to the end of the season and it shows. Majestic Prince and the Yamato are starting mega space battles soon and the death toll is increasing. The Titans in Shingeki no Koijin are more into plot. I suspect this show will probably get a second […]

Weekly Anime Review

This week, we enjoyed pretty space (well, air) and battles. The Yamato got in a crazy battle where a lot of stuff happened. This was quite the contrast with Majestic Prince and Shingeki, where there was no battle, but a lot of exposition. Also, drama… drama everywhere, but that’s normal since we are just four […]

Weekly Anime Review

More main characters die in Majestic Prince, which suggests this show is really going toward its ending. Yamato moves to a new arc episode, placing pieces on the chessboard for the home stretch. And Shingeki no Kyojin is a mix of exposition and drama while galloping at full speed in a forest with very large […]

Weekly Anime Review

This week we get really nice action in all three shows. The Majestic Prince gets an amazing mecha fight against one of the Walguru Commanders. The Recon Legion in Shingeki no Koijin gets beat down by a really smart Titan. And the Yamato is super lucky against the bulk of the Gallimas army.

Weekly Anime Review

Double dose of anime this week. All the shows are going toward a conclusion, so the action is picking up. Both Majestic Prince and Space Ship Yamato have internal politics, external politics, and space action. Shingeki no Koijin is more “Everyone in the Recon Corp!” – really all of Eren’s friends joined it. How many will survive?

Weekly Anime Review

I’m down to three shows, nothing in the summer lineup interested me. The good news is that Majestic Prince is still totally awesome and filled with good action. Shingeki‘s plot is progressing; I have a good idea of when this season will end. Finally, Space Ship Yamato had a great episode as well.

Weekly Anime Review

Awesome episodes this week. Majestic Prince comes back with a new member and an awesome battle to show how amazing Ange is. Gargantia has a grand finale and the Yamato gets in a pinch but still gets away safely.

Weekly Anime Review

The Spring season is coming quite close to end; Chihayafuru only has one episode left and Gargantia doesn’t have many episodes left as well. Majestic Prince had a “breather” episode and we get a recap next week, too. Shingeki will continue, as does Majestic Prince and Yamato. Yamato also had a nice character building episode […]

Weekly Anime Review

Chihaya continues with a breathless episode that seems way shorter than it is. The show should end soon because there isn’t enough manga material to take it into future seasons. Seisui no Gargantia is becoming a bit of a joke, I think. Majestic Prince had more info dump and the Yamato make new friends that […]

Weekly Anime Review

The week’s episodes were pretty interesting. We learned secrets in Gargantia. Chihaya got to play against the Queen. We got lots of exposition in Majestic Prince, and Yamato explores a sci-fi trope about AI.

Weekly Anime Review

This week wasn’t as entertaining as last week. Most shows were exposition or sentimental ones. Both Space Ship Yamato and Majestic Prince give us more information about the “bad guys.” Chihayafuru starts the single player tournament for real and the Gargantia continue to be relatively boring.

Weekly Anime Review

We got some awesome action this week, both Majestic Prince and Shingeki no Koijiin were really good in that category. Chihayafuru and Yamato had “cooldown” episodes. The Gargantia had conflict as a theme, but it didn’t really involve combat as much as yelling, stubbornness and greed.

Weekly Anime Review

Chihaya had a really tense episode this week. Shingeki no Kyojin and Yamato 2199 were mostly action. Seisui no Gargantia is starting to become stale and nothing changes, well, until the last scene of the episode. Majestic Prince presented “bad guys,” so it was mostly exposition.
