Winter holidays are over and the last episode of the fall season has played. Gingitsune has left us for good, but both Tokyo Raven and Samurai Flamenco are going to be part of the winter season.
We are getting close to the end of the fall season. Tokyo Raven and Samurai Flamenco are going to stay with us for the winter, but Gingitsune and Galilei Donna are leaving us. This means that this week we had “before the ending” episodes for pretty much all shows, ramping up the story and ending […]
Gingitsune was a bit boring this week, but the three other shows made it up for it. Tokyo Raven was all about fighting monsters. Galilei Donna became even more like science fiction. Finally, Samurai Flamenco continued to be awesome. Each episode is a bit more what-the-hell.
Plot and characterization were everywhere this week, even if some of the love went to secondary characters. Well, most of the love went to secondary characters. We also got lots of funky looking monsters in both Tokyo Raven and Samurai Flamenco.
Solid week once again, although Samurai Flamenco sort of takes a strange turn, or multiple ones, this week. Tokyo Raven advances its plot a bit, and Gingitsune was more low-key and back to funny antics after the last few depressing backstory episodes. Galilei Donna sort had a “bested by the enemy” episode this week as […]
Down to four shows, because I dropped Coppelion. Tokyo Raven, Galilei Donna and Samurai Flamenco were all awesome this week, though. Tokyo Raven was more comedic but did have some important plot elements in it. Galilei Donna was another heavy drama episode. Samurai Flamenco was the best episode I’ve seen in a long time. Just […]
Coppelion was rather dreadful this week, and I’m starting to think of dropping it. Gingitsune, Galilei Donna, and Samurai Flamenco provided emotional episodes. Samurai and Tokyo Raven were also action-packed, but the best was actually Samurai Flamenco, just for the ending.
We got some sappy moments this week, at least in Gingitsune and Galilei Donna. Coppelion introduced a new arc, Samurai Flamenco introduced a new hero and Tokyo Raven was the boys’ first time in school. Seems like all the shows are past the introduction phase now.
Three episodes into the season and I decided to drop BlazBlue and Arpeggio. Coppelion, Tokyo Raven and Galilei Donna were super awesome this week, and the latter two even have plots that make sense. Gingitsune and Samurai Flamenco are a bit lower on the scale of awesomeness, but they are still holding their own.
Galilei Donna is currently my favorite show because I love the goldfish. The Tokyo Raven plot advanced nicely and the characters are engaging, and Gingitsune is a nice slice-of-life. Coppelion isn’t quite there, but the third episode had some action and plot development. Arpeggio had some nice strategy stuff, but, along with BlazBlue and Samurai Flamenco, I may end […]
I’ve got lots of new shows because they all started broadcasting last week. We got a lot of “mecha” that I didn’t really expect, so it seems like robots popup everywhere this season. There are lots of teenagers, but that is normal. All the shows are getting at least another episode and probably more. There […]
