Happy Wednesday, everybody! Lots of good news this week, from asteroids that aren’t going to kill us all to several awesome new species (and babies of everyone’s favorite new species of the year). Also, updates on the supposed global wine shortage and early puberty epidemic. On the terrible end of the spectrum, though, there’s Haiyan.
So many cool science stories this week! Conditions were right for there to have been life on Mars! Daisy Morris, dinosaur hunter, is the coolest 9-year-old on the planet. And can earthquakes really turn water to gold?
Science news! It was a bit of a slow week, but Curiosity found evidence of ancient water on Mars, Google introduced new underwater panoramas of coral reefs, and you won’t believe what they’re doing with whisky in Scotland.
Science news has gone all weird this week. Space geysers, crop circles off the coast of Japan, fishing kittens, cave gifs, and the starriest of Starry Nights are all waiting below the cut!
Another week, another science news roundup. We’ve got some awesome space news, baby snow leopards, HPV vaccine news, dinosaur sex, and more!
