After another exciting week of voting, we’re ready to reveal the top eight contenders in the fall bracket. Click through for the results!
If I could, I would just post this whole episode here for you to re-watch it. It’s just so good it hurts.
“Ariel” is one of my favorite episodes. You get to see the flip side of the space coin. Instead of being all western, this episode is high-tech and clean. We start with the crew preparing to visit Ariel, one of the Alliance core planets. Inara has to renew her Companion license.
“He robbed from the rich, and he gave to the poor. Stood up to the man, and he gave him what for. Our love for him now, ain’t hard to explain: The hero of Canton, the man they call Jaaaayne.”
Finally, an episode about River! Up until now River has been like a weird little sprite who wanders on set every once in a while to do something strange and then wanders off again. In “Safe” she finally gets some more screen time and even a little backstory. I do love a good backstory.
“Bushwhacked” is my least favorite episode, with my most favorite scene, from the whole series. We learn more about the Reavers, which is important for the development of the story line, but the whole episode is just missing that spark that the others have.
Selena’s use of backgrounds in her Polyvore post inspired me to try them out–up to this point, I’ve been wary of backgrounds because they tend to turn weirdly transparent and be generally difficult to work with.
