This weekend I did not watch the MTV VMAs but I did watch most of these unforgettable hip-hop performances from the VMAs. Kanye West received the Video Vanguard Award and host Miley Cyrus defined white feminism.

Cadie gets her turn this week and I honestly can’t tell you whether I really liked this episode or thought it pandered too much. Maybe I’ll decide by the end of this recap.
After watching the first five minutes of “Tony” the first episode of the UK version of Skins, I thought it was horribly miscast. After watching the whole episode, I thought that it was also horribly written. I’m glad I stuck with it, though, because the second episode, “Tea,” while not stellar, had some glimpses of promise.
