This weekend, we didn’t watch Saturday Night Live because seriously, fuck that guy.
This weekend I did not watch the MTV VMAs but I did watch most of these unforgettable hip-hop performances from the VMAs. Kanye West received the Video Vanguard Award and host Miley Cyrus defined white feminism.
It may be summertime in the U.S., but the news never slows down. Come for a busy SDCC-related news roundup and stick around for a personal message from your PoC News contributors.
This weekend was a big weekend for the world of sports, so let’s get to it.
We have some big news stories, and some fun pop culture items for this week!

Happy Tuesday night, dear Persephone readers! We had a great day here today, and if you haven’t had a chance to catch up on all the nougat-y goodness we prepared for you, you should totally go back and read. I’ll wait.
