The episode opens with Will and Hannibal in session. Will wants Hannibal to posit what’s in Will’s mind. Hannibal says he and Will are the same, but he’s thrown back by the fact that Will told Mason that Hannibal wanted him dead.
I finally had the chance to read a few of the walkthroughs by Bryan Fuller on The A.V. Club. His outline of the show each week definitely gives an insight into what is going on in the minds of everyone involved. Though I still am angry about what happened to Beverly, at least Margot and Alana […]
Hannibal has a vision, but I don’t know if any of the viewers really grasp what that vision is. Is it to shock Friday night audiences? Is it to make us empathize with killers? Is it trying to make us vegetarians? The last two episodes have picked up the rolling snowball, hurtling it even faster down […]
After the last few upsetting episodes, this episode settles into a more laid back cat-and-mouse game. It breaks it up a bit nicely that way. By making the characters feel safe, the viewers feel like we are safe. This is a marvelous horror trope: get the crowd relaxed for a good scare when the real […]
My Hannibal recap is back with a supersized, two episode recap! These two episodes were definitely a roller coaster of Holy Shit! moments and emotions, and although I am still mad over what happened in the previous two episodes, the show deserves everyone’s attention for the rest of the season.
I cannot put this show down. Every week, I go into it knowing I am about to have too many emotions, knowing that beauty is going to be mixed with ugly and I will love it. “Takiawase” continues the grimdark beauty trend of this season.
Following up last week’s episode was a hard task, but “Hassun” really keeps this ball of awesome rolling. The writing for this show might be the best drama writing on television.
This season of Hannibal is going to be more disgusting and more dark than the last. Eating food while watching this show is at the risk of your own stomach. The darker it gets, the more intriguing it becomes as Bryan Fuller pulls the audience into Will’s and Hannibal’s descents into madness. Watching this episode, I […]
Happy Friday, Persephoneers! Do you remember watching those old and goofily scary movies around Halloween, old reruns of Scooby Doo, or reading Nancy Drew when you were younger? What did a lot of those have in common? Think really hard.
