Back when Lane beat up Pete, he prefaced said ass-beating by calling Pete a slimey little pimp. Tonight, we get to watch Pete live up to that name in the most abhorrent fashion imaginable.
Previously on “Mad Men”: Megan nailed a big pitch for Heinz and seemed remarkably subdued about her success, Pete declared that he had nothing, and (not shown, but worth mentioning) Megan’s father gave her a pretty rough time for giving up on her acting dreams.
This week on Mad Men: The show does half my work for me by splitting into three distinct story lines encompassing the same span of time. The title is “Far Away Places” and Peggy, Roger, and Don all have experiences that take them deep into unfamiliar and unsettling territory. Exciting!
