Weekly Anime Review

The end of the season is here. Rokka no Yuusha had its last episode and it was a pretty good pay-off. Overlord and Arslan Senki both have one more episode to go. I have no idea where God Eater is. Delayed shows are not fun.

Weekly Anime Review

We are getting really close to the end of the season. One or two episodes left for each show. Rokka no Yuusha finally had Adlet give a possible explanation for what happened. Sciences triumphed over magic. Overlord has a bit more world building, and Ainz is getting a bit scared because super powerful items are […]

Weekly Anime Review

Just a few more weeks until I know who is the 7th in Rokka no Yuusha; they’re really taking their sweet time there. Overlord started a new storyline, God Eater continues its world building, and Arslan Senki is marching toward its glorious final battle.

Weekly Anime Review

There is less than a month left for this season. In Rokka no Yuusha, the Braves are walking toward the truth. In Overlord, nothing seems to be able to stop Ainz. In God Eater, the kid survived… barely. Finally, in Arslan Senki, the long march to siege the capital has started. Outside of Overlord, everything […]

Weekly Anime Review

We’ve got about a month left in the summer anime season and God Eater is a no-show for a second week. Rokka no Yuusha shows the power of the Saint of the Swamp in all its green glory. Overlord has more MMORPG tropes being thrown around and a very crazy lady. Finally, Arslan Senki has what could be […]

Weekly Anime Review

I think this week’s shows can be summed up as “my life sucks.” In Rokka no Yuusha, Adlet is still being pursed and is no closer to exonerating himself. In Overlord, Ainz’s identity is discovered because he was careless previously. In God Eaters, Lenka discovers that they aren’t very close to saving anyone. Finally, in Arslan […]

Weekly Anime Review

Rokka no Yuusha is sure keeping up the suspense about who is the 7th Brave, which I personally find very interesting. Arslan Senki, though, ended its Sidhuran’s without much surprise; hopefully the follow-up has more surprises. God Eaters had a bit more world building in this episode and an ominous feeling for the future.

Weekly Anime Review

Just a few more episode until the mid-season, but seems like the drama already started. In Rokka no Yuusha, paranoia reigns with all the Braves wondering who is the fake. In Overlord, Ains and his friend are trying to become low-level adventurers. Finally, in Arslan Senki, a new chapter of Arslan’s adventure begins.

Weekly Anime Review

Some nice twists in Rokka no Yuusha this week, and there was also a nice strategy gambit in Arslan Senki. Yeah, for intelligent protagonists. Overlord is also taking the “be careful what you say, because someone might have heard you” direction, which should be amusing to watch unfold. I also finally dropped Chaos Dragon.

Weekly Anime Review

Rokka no Yuusha and Arslan Senki are really falling right into the adventure genre I like so much, but God Eater is the anime that pleases me the most aesthetically.  You can never have the full package, I guess. Chaos Dragon might get dropped because so far the pacing and storytelling is off. Overlord was […]

Weekly Anime Review

Arslan Senki is back with a normal episode. I kinda missed its down-to-earth narrative style. Rokka no Yuusha is also using the adventure style with a plot, which I like a lot. Chaos Dragon and Overlord are still somewhat meh, but they both have one more episode until I decide if I keep or drop them. […]

Weekly Anime Review

The summer season has started. I singled out a few shows, but so far only one was really gripping on the first episode: Rokka no Yuusha. Chaos Dragon and Overlord were quite generic, but that might change. There is also another show I wanted to watch, but the episode was delayed because of production trouble […]
