Seattle does not have AC in most places. This has proved tough this summer as it has topped 90 a few different times. For someone who loves 40 and cloudy, the sweltering heat slays me. Luckily, music and a cold shower can keep me going on these hot days.
Sometimes we all just need a good laugh. I fall asleep to comedy each night because somehow those funny people soothe me off into dreamland. I tend to also consume it a lot in general, so I bring you my ten favorite current comedians.
It has been a tough week. I am still dealing with the upcoming family gathering I will not be a part of. I am also weathering a shitstorm of anger from my mother over some trite happenings. Thank the maker for good tunes. It’s pretty much one of the few things keeping me going.
Summer came to Seattle like a power bomb. It topped 85 a few days ago. This makes Alyson melt. I apparently was not ready for summer, though my listening tastes have prepared me for the incoming heatwave. I apologize in advance for not including the actual song, “Heatwave.”
May 18th marked the 35th anniversary of Ian Curtis’s death. Joy Division is a band that has influenced many of my favorite musicians, and one I have at least started to explore on its own.
